Fleas: Dispensers of discomfort, disease and death

Fleas are small wingless insects that live on the bloood of humans and animlas. Although they prefer to live and feed on animals such as cats and dogs, they do consider humans as their source of food as well. The dangers from flea bites are due to the disease carrying nature of fleas. The "black plague" is actually caused by a type of bacteria called Yersinia pestis spread by fleas, which has killed 25 million people.

Make fleas flee your home, property and pets

Successful flea control requires treatment of both your property and pets. This involves using various chemical products in and around your home and veterinarian-approved flea control products on pets.( We do not treat pets.) Steam treatments may also be an option for those  sensitive to chemicals; it works by killing all flea stages on contact, but has no lasting residual effect and will not prevent fututre infestations.

 

We can conduct a thorough inspection and locate areas where the immature stages of the flea population are residing. After the inspection, we may use growth regulators  that will interfere with the flea's normal developement into the adult state.
